Way past midnight in the Bar Sur, an intimate tango club on the fringeof the docks quarter of Buenos Aires, the place is heaving. Locals are packedshoulder to shoulder with tourists at a dozen rickety tables surrounding thedance floor.
The wine is flowing as a duo strikes up on a battered piano and wheezingaccordion, then the young couple who are the star turn make their entrance. Heis pale and rake-thin with glistening black hair, she is a slinky brunette inspike heels and a clinging white skirt slit almost to the waist.
