During a more than two hour fiery speech, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan called upon the Black men to return to their communities and families and make a difference.
He told them to go back home and join community organizations as well as a church, synagogue or mosque that will uplift them spiritually. The minister also called for a reconciliation with Jews and an end to White supremacy.
He cited Father George Clements who was in attendance and praised him for developing an idea that each Black man adopt a prisoner. Clements is the Chicago priest who started the Black adoption program, "One Church, One Child," in which a church adopts a homeless child. ...
