The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) has made strides toward transformg the built environment to sustainability during its 14-year existence, from the launch of file Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System in 2000 to presently having awarded more than 800 buildings LEED certification.
