Norman Podhoretz, the former editor of Commentary and the author of World War IV: The Long Struggle Against Islamofascism, spoke recently at the Hoover Institution about the proper historical context of the current "war on terror."
Explaining the main themes of his new book, Podhoretz characterizes the current struggle against Al Qaeda and its supporters as the successor to the two previous American global conflicts against aggressive, totalitarian regimes.
