CAPE TOWN: Less than a week before he is due to collect his first monthly pay packet, it has emerged that new Springbok coach Peter de Villiers has not yet even signed a contract with SA Rugby.

And De Villiers's representatives last night warned in a sensational new development in the row over the contract that "Peter will not accept an inferior deal. This is a fight about justice."

The extraordinary state of affairs has come about because of a series of conditions imposed by the SA Rugby Union on De Villiers in the aftermath of his selection as national coach. Those conditions, which include a salary offer that De Villiers ...
