Wednesday, 2.35pm - SOUTH Kesteven District Council is trying to trace relatives of people whose graves were smashed by an out-of-control car in Grantham Cemetery earlier this year.
Staff at the cemetery, in Harrowby Road, have no contact details of relatives on file, but they suspect there may be some still in the area despite the graves being quite old.
The council needs to consult relatives before they can repair the graves which were damaged in the accident.
A spokesman said there would be no cost involved as the driver's insurance company will cover the repair costs.
The damaged graves are in sections 23B to 30D of the cemetery.
