IRISH made it 13 wins from 14 league games with a hard-fought victory to keep the pressure on Sharlston, who could only draw with Keighley Albion.
And Andrew Brocklehurst's side can now win the Premier title with victory in their four remaining fixtures, a run in which includes the mouthwatering visit of Wakefield side Sharlston.
The All Blacks made a real fight of it and should take heart from a gritty performance. Irish's firepower again proved decisive - five tries to one tells its own story with two quickfire scores either side of half-time securing victory.
