To bear witness to the birth of a new nation - a FREEnation - is a moving and humbling experience.
And rarely has the United States stood so tall as when it moved immediately and without reservation to recognize Kosovo as the world's newest republic. Australia and most of the European Union's major nations have joined in that recognition.
