In Friday's "Vantage Point," Dennis Quaid is a dashing leading man. Literally.
As Thomas Barnes, a Secret Service agent protecting the president, he spends many scenes running, driving and generally moving like mad.
"I met Dennis in Spain two and a half years before we started shooting," said director Pete Travis. "For me as a European, he has a classic American face with an old-style movie-star aura to him, like Gary Cooper. As an actor he can do something without saying anything."
Which is good, because as Quaid jokes, "I have 17 lines of dialogue in this film. That's it. And most of it is like, `Oh my God, what have you done?' or ...
