SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 28, 1995--Today at the Cowen & Company 10th Annual Biotechnology Conference in San Francisco, Terrapin Technologies, Inc., a privately held pharmaceutical discovery company, reported preclinical findings on its orally active myelostimulant, TER199.
In-vivo studies indicate that TER199 accelerates the recovery of bone marrow cells and also speeds the reappearance of circulating neutrophils, platelets and lymphocytes following their suppression by cytotoxic agents. This is a potentially significant breakthrough for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
