MANILA, Feb 21 Asia Pulse - The Philippine medical transcription (MT) industry remains one of the fastest-growing outsourcing sectors with its work force expanding at the rate of 43 per cent, according to the Medical Transcription Industry Association of the Philippines Inc. (MTIAPI).
MTIAPI president Myla Rose Reyes said that the stable growth of the sector has been supported by a 12 to 18 per cent annual hike in demand for transcription services in the US.
The US medical transcription industry is estimated to be worth US$18 billion and the Philippines is now serving just a little over one per cent of the outsourced market.
