MAJOR company failures and the response by the financial profession have led to many initiatives to get "control" back into the finance functions of the business world.
These initiatives resulted in a "compliance" focus, and in some case in re-engineering and upgrading systems. This created environments where management was sometimes compelled to "work around" and make disjointed changes to the processes.
Typical challenges included:
