Online communication services, including MySpace, Facebook, personal blogs and chat rooms, have been almost universally derided by our society.
When they appear on the news, it is almost always with regard to some dangerous or imprudent posting - a minor endangered because he or she disclosed personal information in a public place, or someone arrested after bragging about a crime online. Yet it seems unfair to judge these services and programs so harshly.
