The Archives' fiftieth birthday is barely 5 y from the end of a century of monumental changes in mankind's relations with our planet--spaceship earth. Making the logical changes necessary to preserve our habitat is impaired by ethnic, religious, and political divisions and discords, the most severe of which is a monumental lack of will. The outlook is bleak. Don't know what to change, combined with don't know how to change it, conceals opportunities to mend the ecological rents and tears.
