Gilliland: Butch Gilliland averaged 32nd in 10 Cup starts in the 1990s and was only marginally better in 12 Craftsman starts. But his son, David, has two poles, a top-five and two top-10s in 50 Cup starts, plus a win in the 2006 Busch (now Nationwide) race in Kentucky.
Hamilton: The late Bobby Hamilton was among 18 drivers with wins in NASCAR's top three series between 1989 and 2006: four in Cup, one in Busch and 10 in Craftsman, where he was the 2004 champion. His son, Bobby Hamilton Jr., has had a difficult career: 0 for 64 in Cup, five for 211 in Busch, 0 for 30 in Craftsman.
