The Los Angeles Unified School District's $20 billion school construction program is touching all parts of the city--from a new elementary and middle school at Westside's Playa Vista to a rehabilitation of a South Los Angeles high school. The profiles here offer a glimpse of the sort of construction projects the district has finished or is in the midst of designing and building. Despite a recent program curtailment, the district plans to construct 132 schools.
