When Meghan Frein goes to a party and starts talking about synchronized ice skating, it usually leads to a big discussion.
She said people often ask: "What's that?" or "Is it like synchronized swimming?" Frein, 27, of Camillus, is a member of Cutting Edge, an adult women's synchronized skating team based out of Camillus.
To be a good synchronized ice skater, the women must be good, fast skaters; they have to be able to follow choreography with music; and they have to do all of that in synch with another seven to 11 people.
