When people turn on their faucets, they expect clean, fresh, clear water.
When anglers toss a line in a lake or river, they expect few weeds and an abundance of fish.
A state program is helping these be a reality.
A total of $13 million was awarded Friday for projects to help keep water clean throughout the state.
Of that total, $3.8 million is going to the Finger Lakes region and $3.5 million is headed to Central New York.
