CENTENARIAN Robert Challenger celebrated his 100th birthday with a party and sing along.
Robert who was born on February 19, 1908 on High Street, Rawcliffe celebrated his birthday with friends, family and staff at Beech Tree House in Goole where he has been a resident since May 2003.
He said: "It was lovely and nice to see everybody.
"My 97-year-old sister came from Thorne and I go to see her once a fortnight."
Robert married his wife Irene in Drax when he was nearly 30 and they had two children, David and Mavis, who has since passed away, and he has five grandchildren.
He worked in the paper mill in Rawcliffe for 30 years ...
