White UK surrogate mother gives birth to Asian baby
London, Feb 24 (PTI) In a rare instance, a white British woman has given birth to an Asian baby as a surrogate mother for a childless couple.
The real identity of the couple or that of the surrogate mother has not been revealed but reports say the child is now three months old.
The surrogate mother, who was identified as 'Karen' by a healthcare assistant in southeast England, said: "Colour was not an issue for me. It did not make any difference." Karen also suggested that she was willing to surrogate a second child for the Asian couple, a report in 'The Sunday Times' said.
