I WAS pleased to read (Daily Post, February 16) that British teacher Gillian Gibbons is now taking up an 18-month post to teach English at a school near Beijing, China.

Her earlier ordeal in the Sudan, where gangs in the streets of Khartoum called for her execution because she allowed children to call a teddy bear "Mohammed" raises a two-part question in my mind.
