New product development in meat-free is booming, in no small part thanks to the enthusiasm of Premier Foods as it seeks a higher profile for its own portfolio of meat-free products.
Premier commands a 19% share of the sector with its number one and number two meat-free brands Quota and Cauldron.
It has recently launched a smorgasbord of new lines including Cauldron's first ready meals with products such as aubergine moussaka, begetable enchiladas, Tuscan bean cannelloni, and sweet potato & aubergine balti.
