THEATRE, music and public discussions in taxis, clinics and schools are some of the strategies employed by educators in Crossroads to spread messages about HIV transmission, prevention and vaccine initiatives that may one day bring the epidemic, at least partially, under control.
The Emavundleni Centre in Crossroads will, pending approval by a number of ethical and research committees, be one of two sites at which human clinical vaccine trials will be carried out later this year, testing a pair of South African-developed HIV vaccines for efficacy and safety.
