Health centre defends new queuing phone system
A health centre has been criticised for its new phone system - branded a money making excercise.
The Biggleswade and district Pensioners' Association is calling on the doctors' surgery in Saffron Road, Biggleswade to rethink its decision to use the new system, which is more expensive and makes patients wait in a queue until they get through to the reception desk.
But the surgery claims it has been changed to improve the service for patients who were getting fed of being met with an engaged time every time they called.
Treasurer of the association Frank Hendrix said: "I am not sure who is benefiting from this ...
