When the Montezuma Town Board got rid of the town's Planning Board in January, it violated state law, according to the Department of State.
Town Supervisor William Saroodis said the board did not reappoint the seven Planning Board members during the Town Board's reorganizational meeting.
"There are some issues that I can't say right now," he said when asked why the board wasn't reappointed. He also wouldn't say if there were issues with all seven Planning Board members or just one or a few.
"It's just the planning board in general," he said.
