Morgan Tanton has brought together a set of authors who focus on women and work. This edited volume began as papers presented at a 1991 conference entitled 'Women in Management Learning'. The collection of chapters and writing styles is eclectic, but each speaks to women in management and to academics interested in gender issues and human resource management.
In her opening chapter, Tanton provides a rationale for the conference's focus on the development of women in organizations, and describes three reasons for training and educating women in management.
