Article: PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER AND DAILY NEWS ANNOUNCE NEW SCHOLARSHIP FUND

PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- A new scholarship fund exclusively for use by students at the Community College of Philadelphia was announced today by Philadelphia Newspapers Inc., publisher of The Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Daily News.

The fund will be known as The Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News Scholarship Fund, and it will provide two-year scholarships to eligible students at CCP based on criteria that include need and academic ability. The first scholarship will be awarded in April 1996 to a student who will begin his or her studies at CCP in the fall of 1996.
