After Walter Morgan took home his $90,000 first prize for winning the Seniors Pro Golfers Association (PGA) GTE Northwest Classic, he revealed that he learned the game while serving 20 years in the Army.

Morgan, 54, picks up where Lee Elders and Jim Dent left off as winning Black golfers.

"That's very special to me. Because there aren't many Black pros. I was born in Georgia. The only way I could get on a course was as a caddie," Morgan said in the USA Today.
