SECAUCUS, N.J., Nov. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Panasonic Communications and Systems Company (PCSC), a division of Matsushita Electric Corp. of America, announces that it has reduced the price of its multimedia PD disk drive from $895 to under $500. PD is a single drive that allows a user to read quad-speed CDs and, in the same drive, read from and write to a 650MB removable, rewritable optical disk.
