Jay Lefkowitz, the U.S. special envoy for human rights in North Korea, is in hot water for saying what just about everyone recognizes to be true: Communist North Korea is playing us for suckers. In a January 17 address to the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C., Lefkowitz contradicted the cheery assessments of the Bush White House and the Condoleezza Rice State Department that the North Korea Six Party Talks are achieving progress toward disarming North Korea's nuclear weapons program.
