West Virginia Sen. John D. Rockefeller IV (D) had high praise for Hardy Telecommunications (Lost River, W.Va.), saying the company had gone "above and beyond" in its efforts to provide broadaband capability to its customers.
"An astounding 98 percent of your customers currently have access to broadband," said Rockefeller, who was the featured speaker at Hardy's annual meeting. "I also understand that you just signed your 1,000th broadband customer, and by the end of 2009, 100 percent of your customers will have access to DSL.
