Forget the bridge to the 21st century, or even the 20th century: Ron Paul wants to build a bridge to the 19th century.
"We need a lot less taxes, a lot less regulation and sound money," Paul said Thursday in bringing his quixotic campaign for the Republican presidential nomination to Seattle.
While Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama squabble over who can better chart the path to the future, Paul looks for his inspiration to the past.
Paul, 72 ((age)), wants to eliminate the federal income tax (authorized in 1913), dismantle the Federal Reserve System (established in 1913) and legalize private mints ...
