CARLSBERG BREWERY MALAYSIA POSTS 11.5% DROP IN YR PRE-TAX PROFIT

KUALA LUMPUR - Carlsberg Brewery Malaysia Berhad (KLSE:2836) has reported a 11.5 per cent slide in annual pre-tax profit to RM97.705 million (US$30.6 million) due to lower domestic sales and unfavourable costs arising from its restructuring programme.

Revenue for the twelve months ended 31 December 2007 slipped 3.5 per cent to RM897.530 million from RM929.744 million previously.
