SLOUGH, England, Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Celltech Therapeutics (London Stock Exchange: CTP) announced today that it has successfully completed a Phase II clinical trial of its genetically engineered human antibody CDP 571 in patients with Crohn's disease, a serious inflammatory bowel disorder. A significant reduction in disease activity was observed in patients treated with the drug.
Results of the study will be submitted for publication at meetings of the British Society of Gastroenterology in March 1996 and the American Gastroenterology Association in May 1996. A preliminary discussion of the findings will be presented by lead investigator, Professor C. Hawkey ...
