SALT LAKE CITY -- Use of infliximab in pediatric Crohn's disease patients may delay the need for small-bowel resection, but it does not prevent it, according to a review of the treatments received by 224 patients.
Infliximab may modify the natural history of Crohn's disease in pediatric patients, but ultimately, the outcomes are unchanged, Dr. Jyoti Sinha said at the annual meeting of the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition.
