LIKE Topsy, it grew and grew and now the mimosa tree in Maggie Ferrari's front garden at Easebourne is a 50ft-high blooming wonderful sight.
And what has intrigued Maggie and her neighbours is the mimosa has this year bloomed at the same time as its relatives in Italy.
"It seems to have caught up with the Italian mimosa blossoming time," Maggie said.
"In Italy, as the woman's flower, women are handed sprays of it in shops and offices to celebrate International Women's Day in February."
