Article: Eton boy is no ordinary Joe.

A STUDENT is set to follow in the footsteps of royalty after landing a place at one of the UK's top schools.

Joe Murdy, deputy head boy at Whitburn C of E School, has been offered a sixth-form scholarship at Eton College.

The 16-year-old is the third pupil from his school to have been offered a scholarship at Eton, which boasts princes William and Harry among its old boys.

Joe said: "It was a surprise to get the scholarship. I didn't think I had much of a chance.

"I come across well in interviews and my grades are good too. I'm expected to get As and A*s in my GCSEs in the summer."

Joe's parents Jackie and Neil are delighted ...
