Toronto - Having made its mark on the Canadian cable industry, Rogers Cablesystems is now staking its claim on the Internet.

For the last six months, Canada's largest MSO has been running its own Web site on the World Wide Web, the section of the Internet that allows users to view "home pages" comprised of both text and graphics. It's located at http://www.rogers.com.

"Everybody's on the Web now," explained Rogers president Colin Watson. "If you don't have a Web site, you're kind of not happening these days."
