OWEGO, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--October 11, 1995--Loral Federal Systems-Owego, a division of Loral Corporation (NYSE:LOR), has been awarded contracts totaling $35 million by the U.S. Navy for its initial LAMPS Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) production systems.
Under these contracts, Loral Federal Systems will deliver 150 upgraded airborne data link subsystems (AN/ARQ-44) and 15 FLIR subsystems (AN/AAS-44) over a 30 month performance period.
The upgraded airborne data link subsystem permits the presentation of FLIR video on aircraft displays and enables the downlink of FLIR video to LAMPS-capable surface ships. The FLIR subsystem provides a passive day/night ...
