"WERE YOU SQUIRMING AS MUCH AS WE WERE DURING THAT LAST PRESENTATION?" ASKED THE executive from Aristech during lunch at the CW ISO 14000 conference in Houston last week.
The presentation--"ISO 14000 and Responsible Care: What Kind of Change Agents are They?"--was by John Ehrenfeld, director of the technology, business and environment program at MIT's Center for Technology, Policy & Industrial Development (Cambridge, MA).
In gauging the likelihood of ISO 14000 precipitating change in the chemical industry, Ehrenfeld refers to the center's soon-to-be-released study of 16 U.S. signatories to Responsible Care. He says research for the study shows that the ...
