Anna Gleason was cruising.
After two rotations of the Class 2A gymnastics individual state meet at Roy Wilkins Auditorium, the Roseville junior was on a record-setting pace. With just the floor exercise and the vault to go, the all-around title was all but locked up.
But, as seemed to happen so often Saturday - and in the Class 1A meet as well - mistakes made things much more interesting.
For the second day in a row, Gleason fell during the floor exercise. What once seemed certain now contained an element of doubt.
