Season after season, the emotions inherent to the fashion footwear business run their cyclical course: determination, frustration, elation. Then tragedy strikes and, out of the blue, a profound sadness settles over this small, tightknit community.
FN remembers some of the unfortunate colleagues and friends who were victims of tragic fate. Though these events evoke painful memories, they also are testament to the fact that the shoe business is not always as innocuous as it sometimes seems.
