Article: THE COFLEXIP STENA OFFSHORE GROUP HAS BEEN AWARDED AN $85 MILLION CONTRACT FROM PETROBRAS IN BRAZIL

PARIS, Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- The Coflexip Stena Offshore Group (Nasdaq: CXIPY) today announced it has been awarded a major $85 million contract from Brazilian National Oil Company, Petrobras, for the installation of flexible pipe and umbilicals offshore Brazil in water depths up to 1,000 meters.

This contract will allow Petrobras to extend the use of Coflexip Stena Offshore's Flexservice 1 vessel for four more years (with a possible one-year extension) starting January 1997.
