A series of cash heists in KwaZulu-Natal on Monday has sparked fears of the re-emergence of cash heist syndicates targeting pension pay points.
Two people were killed and more than 10 were injured in heists at post offices at Amanzimtoti, Ezinqoleni, Kranskop and Isipingo, which were acting as pension pay points.
Community safety and liason MEC Bheki Cele yesterday said police were investigating the possibility that the four heists were linked.
