NEW YORK, Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- In reaction to 3M's announced discontinuation of its audio and video tape business over the next year, ITA, the International Recording Media Association, has released figures pointing toward record sales volumes for audio and video tape products during 1995/96.

"3M's announcement appears to run counter to the trend in our industry," explains ITA Executive Vice President Charles Van Horn.
