The Metropolitan Chicago community Health Information Network (MCCHIN) in July hired Jack L. Buxbaum as its CIO and selected one of its first demonstration sites.

Before joining the Chicago CHIN, Buxbaum was a senior manager with First Consulting Group in Chicago, where he was involved in the development of the Metro Chicago CHIN and the evolving Cincinnati CHIN. He also has held positions with Booz-Allen Health Care Inc. and Ameritech Health Connections.

Advocate Health Care has signed a subscriber agreement with MCCHIN making Christ Hospital and Medical Center, Oak Lawn, Ill., an initial implementation site for the demonstration phase of the CHIN. A total of ...
