YOU WOULDN'T believe the horticultural activity of sorts that is going on down on the Norfolk waterfront in an old gray warehouse off Brambleton Avenue.
T ucked away in that industrial part of town is an operation that would warm the heart of folks starved for fresh veggies in winter.
Day in and day out, bean sprouts and green leaf sprouts of all kinds, from mung beans to green peas, from broccoli to alfalfa, are growing their little hearts out in the midst of the concrete surroundings of Krisp-Pak, a fresh fruit and vegetable processing and sprout-growing business.
