WORCESTER - Bernadette Peters is mindful of the significance of being the first performer to take the stage when the Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts formally opens its doors Friday.
The evening itself will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a special reception, with jazz music and champagne cocktails, for members who have donated $500 or more. Then at 8 p.m., the two-time Tony Award singer and actress will perform her one-woman show. One of the songs she plans to sing is "Some Enchanted Evening."
"Which it will be," Ms. Peters said.
