NEW YORK -- The Coleccion Patricia Phelps de Cisneros (CPPC) announced that Dr. Gabriel Perez-Barreiro, curator of Latin-American art at the Blanton Museum of Art at The University of Texas at Austin, was named director of the CPPC. Rafael Romero D., the former director, has been named director emeritus and senior advisor. The announcement was made by Patricia Phelps de Cisneros, co-founder and chairwoman of the Fundacion Cisneros and its visual arts program.
