Joe Galimberti made an enormous contribution to the widely acknowledged high quality of Canadian Public Administration. It is eminently appropriate that he should be honoured in this anniversary issue, marking fifty years since the Journal's founding. For thirty of those years, as executive director of IPAC, Joe was responsible for the overall management and production of the Journal. I know that I speak for the current editor and all of her predecessors when I say that Joe's advice and knowledge were invaluable to the Journal's success.
